Working with jamn
jamn is a full-service creative and development studio. We handle web design and development, graphic design for print and digital, custom CRM and back-end systems, SEO, and digital strategy. If your project touches design, development, or systems, we can help, and we’ve been doing this for 25 years, so we’ve seen most situations before.
Book a free discovery call through our contact page. We’ll talk through what you’re working on, what’s not working, and what the right path forward looks like. No pitch, no pressure — just an honest conversation about what you need.
Absolutely. Most clients come to us mid-chaos — a half-finished website, clunky branding, or a tech stack barely held together. We start with a free discovery call to get the full picture, then map out a plan that makes sense for where you are now and where you’re headed.
Yes. We work with solo founders, small-but-growing operations, and larger operations. You don’t need a big budget or a big team to work with jamn, you just need a project worth doing properly.
Absolutely. Need a brochure, social media templates, a pitch deck, or an event banner? We offer standalone graphic design support for both print and digital. You don’t need a full website build to work with us.
Yes. jamn is based in Toronto but works with clients across Canada and the US. Most of our projects run remotely and work just fine that way. We’re good communicators and we know how to keep a project moving without needing to be in the same room.
Most studios do one thing. We do all of it, web design, development, graphic design, print, custom CRM, and strategy, and have for 25 years. That breadth matters because your brand doesn’t live in one channel. We bring the same senior-level craft to a brand identity as we do to a complex back-end build. And we actually finish projects.
Pricing & timelines
It depends on what you’re building. A focused 4–6 page WordPress site for a service business typically runs $2,500–$5,000 CAD. A more complex build with custom functionality, e-commerce, or CRM integration can run $10,000–$25,000+. We give you a clear scope and quote before anything starts.
A focused brand identity, logo, colour palette, typography, and usage guidelines, typically runs $1,500–$4,000 CAD depending on scope and number of revision rounds. If you need supporting collateral (business cards, letterhead, social templates), that’s priced separately.
We don’t publish a price list because every project is scoped to what you actually need, not a package built around what’s easy to sell. Get in touch and we’ll tell you honestly what your project will cost. If it’s not a fit, we’ll say so.
A focused 4–6 page site typically takes 6–12 weeks from kickoff to launch, assuming content is ready on your end. Larger builds, custom functionality, e-commerce, multi-page systems, usually run 12–18 weeks. We give you a timeline before we start, and we stick to it.
Yes. Many clients stay with us for ongoing website maintenance, design updates, and tech support. If you’d rather have a steady partner than chase a new freelancer every time something breaks, we offer flexible monthly plans. Ask about it!
Web design & development
We primarily build on WordPress, which works well for most businesses, content-heavy sites, and anything that needs flexibility over time. We also build custom HTML/CSS/JS sites and work in Webflow for the right use cases. We’ll recommend the best platform for your needs.
WordPress is the better choice for most service businesses, it’s flexible, widely supported, you own your content completely, and the plugin ecosystem is massive. Webflow is a strong option if you want more visual control, a cleaner editing experience, and a site that doesn’t need heavy custom functionality. We build in both and will tell you honestly which makes more sense for your situation.
Yes. We build sites on platforms you can use, and we’ll walk you through how to make updates before we hand it off. We don’t believe in holding your site hostage. If you’d rather have us handle ongoing updates, we offer maintenance plans for that too.
Yes. We can manage the full technical setup, hosting, domain configuration, SSL certificates, DNS, email setup. We work on Digital Ocean, SiteGround, and other managed hosts depending on the project. You own everything; we just set it up and make sure it runs properly.
Yes. We handle on-page SEO as part of every website build, page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image optimization, schema markup, and site speed. We also offer standalone SEO audits and ongoing SEO work for clients who want to go deeper. We don’t do paid ads, just solid technical and content SEO that holds up long-term.
That’s one of the most common situations we walk into. We’ll audit what exists, tell you honestly what’s worth keeping and what needs to go, and give you a clear path to done. A half-finished website is better than a finished bad one, but only if you finish it properly.
Branding & graphic design
Both, depending on what you need. If you need a logo and a visual identity system, we can do that. If you need to think through positioning, messaging, and what the brand actually stands for before touching design, we do that too. After 25 years working across industries, we’ve gotten good at helping businesses figure out what they’re trying to say before deciding how it looks.
A rebrand typically means rethinking the strategic foundation, name, positioning, who you’re talking to, what you stand for, followed by new visual identity. A brand refresh keeps the core identity intact but updates how it looks and feels: modernized logo, updated colour palette, refreshed collateral. If you’re not sure which you need, that’s worth talking through before spending money on either.
Yes — and this is genuinely unusual. Most studios specialize in one or the other. jamn has deep roots in print production (25 years) and equal fluency in digital design. That means your brand stays consistent whether it shows up in a brochure, a website, a social post, or an event banner.
We help shape messaging and content structure throughout the design process, and our work often includes refining how you describe what you do. For a full brand voice overhaul or complete website copywriting, we scope that separately, let us know what level of writing support you need.
Custom CRM & systems
A custom CRM is a business management system built around how your business actually works, not a generic platform you have to bend yourself into. You might need one if you’re stitching together too many tools, losing leads in a spreadsheet, or spending hours on tasks that could be automated. We design and build these using AI-assisted development tools that cut build time without cutting quality.
Yes. We work with a range of tools depending on your stack. If you have a system you like but it’s not talking to the rest of your business the way it should, we can usually fix that.
Yes. We build e-commerce and custom setups depending on your volume and needs. We’re not an e-commerce-only shop, but we build clean, functional stores for product businesses and service businesses that sell online.
Process & working together
Discovery call → scope and proposal → kickoff and strategy → design → development or production → review rounds → launch or delivery → handoff and training. For website builds we typically do 2 rounds of design revisions before development begins. We run tight projects with clear communication, you’ll always know where things stand.
Standard projects include 2 rounds of revisions at the design stage and 1 round at the development/production stage. This is plenty for most clients when the brief is clear. If your project requires more back-and-forth, we scope that in upfront so there are no surprises.
Depends on the project, but generally: clarity on your goals, any existing brand assets (logos, fonts, colours), any content you already have (or a sense of what you need to create), and a realistic sense of your timeline and budget. If you don’t have all of that together, that’s fine, we’ll help you sort it out on the discovery call.
Yes. Every project runs on a signed agreement that covers scope, deliverables, timelines, payment terms, and IP ownership. You own your final files — always. We’re happy to sign an NDA if your project requires it.
We typically work on a 50% deposit to kick off, with the balance due on completion or in milestones for larger projects. We invoice in CAD.
